NFT seems to be the buzzword of the season. The tech has been gaining popularity over the past few years, and more recently, we’re starting to see mainstream adoption where some game publishers are actually putting it into their games. So much so that while completely unnecessary, we understand where Samsung is coming from.
The company has recently announced a slew of new television sets that feature the use of MicroLED and Neo QLED display technology. However, as stunning as these TVs look, the most interesting thing from their announcement is how these TVs will feature Samsung’s “NFT Aggregation Platform”.
This is a platform that will allow users to browse and buy NFTs directly from their Samsung TVs. It will source NFTs from various marketplaces and if users are interested, they can make a purchase directly from them. It will also be able to show relevant information like who created the NFT and all the related blockchain metadata.
The TVs can also be used to display NFTs that users have bought, and since this new platform will be available on Samsung devices like The Frame, it is actually pretty well-suited for that task. That being said, NFTs don’t exactly come cheap so we have to wonder who this platform is really catered towards, but hey, if you do trade in NFTs, maybe this could be worth checking out.
