Thanks to a Safari workaround, Microsoft and other companies that have game streaming services have managed to bring game streaming in the cloud to iOS devices without having to jump through Apple’s hoops and meet all the stringent requirements that the Cupertino company had set out.

However, seeing as it is not an official method, the experience wasn’t as good as it could have been, but there is some good news. If you happen to be an Xbox gamer who has an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and also own an iOS device, Microsoft has announced that they have made some changes that should result in an improvement in the streaming experience.

According to the company, “At Xbox Cloud Gaming, we listen to and value player feedback. You asked for a better iOS experience, and as a result, we have brought major performance improvements to all supported iPhone and iPad devices. With these updates, you should have a smoother and more responsive gameplay experience.”

Microsoft claims that with these improvements, they’ve actually seen more positive feedback from gamers resulting in 35% longer playtime. We haven’t tried it out for ourselves yet but if you happen to stream on your iOS device, then perhaps this could be worth checking out to experience the improvements yourself.
