If you’re looking for a new Mac computer to buy in 2022, then you’re in luck because it seems that this year will be one of the biggest refreshes in Mac computers that we can look forward to. Or at least that’s what Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes in his latest Power On newsletter.
According to the oft-accurate journalist, he believes that we can look forward to seven new Mac computers from Apple this year. This includes a brand new more powerful Mac mini powered by an M1 Pro chipset, and also another model powered by the M2. Then there is also going to be a refresh of the 13-inch MacBook Pro from 2020 where it will be powered by the M2 chipset.
Then there will also be an update to the 24-inch iMac that will also be sporting the M2 chipset, followed by a redesigned MacBook Air which will also be using Apple’s new (and rumored) M2 chipset.
For those who want something a bit more powerful, Gurman reiterates claims that Apple could launch a larger iMac Pro later in the year where it will be using the M1 Pro and Max chipset options, and also a half-size Mac Pro that will actually be powered by 2-4 M1 Max chipsets.
Needless to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt, but if you’re looking for a new Mac to buy, this year could have plenty of options for you to choose from.
