thinkpad_x1_10[CES 2016] There are tons of different tablets to choose from, but if you wanted a tablet with more customizability options, Lenovo has you covered as they have recently announced the ThinkPad X1 tablet. This is a tablet where users can choose to add more modules to it depending on their need.

For example there is a productivity module that will cost an extra $149. This adds 5 hours more battery life along with HDMI and onelink+ ports. There is a presenter module priced at $279. This will add a projector capable of projecting a 60-inch display from 2 meters, and will come with HDMI ports. There is another module in the form of a 3D imager. This is priced at $149 and will allow users to capture and edit objects for graphics design and 3D printing.

These modules will come in handy for users who might need such features, but would also love to not have them all bundled together at once which can add to weight and bulk. That being said at its core, the ThinkPad X1 features a detachable keyboard for typing, a 12-inch Full HD display, and can be configured to pack Intel’s latest 6th gen Core m7 vPro processors.

It will also support up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 1TB PCie NVMe SSD storage. It will be priced at $899 for the tablet and keyboard, and if you want the additional modules they are all priced separately.
