The problem with gaming on a laptop is that you’re pretty much stuck with a single display. This is versus gaming on the desktop in which some gamers might have multiple monitors setup, where one monitor could be used for gaming, and the other for web browsing, reading, chats, and so on.

If you’re looking for that level of flexibility in a gaming laptop, ASUS is more than happy to oblige because at CES 2022, the company has taken the wraps off the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo. This is a new gaming laptop from ASUS and one of the unique features of the laptop is its built-in secondary display.

This display sits right below the main display and is angled slightly upwards so that it faces the user instead of sitting flat like Apple’s Touch Bar. This is actually not the first time ASUS has incorporated a secondary display, but with the 2022 model, the company has made some improvements where the upwards angle now allows for better air intake.

The laptop itself features a 16-inch 16:10 display and users will have two display options to choose from: the ROG Nebula HDR with a QHD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, while the other is a Dual Spec which lets users switch between a 4K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, or a 1080p resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the laptop is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 9 6980HX processor, and will support up to 64GB of RAM, and NVIDIA’s RTX 3080 Ti GPU, making it a heck of a beast when it comes to gaming. There is no mention of pricing just yet, but given its specs and features, we don’t expect it to come cheap.
