When devices are usually labelled as for gaming, they are sometimes priced a bit higher. If you are after a gaming headset but don’t want to pay a premium, then you might be interested to learn that Logitech has since announced the G335 gaming headset which will be priced somewhat affordably at $70.

Obviously at those prices you probably shouldn’t expect to have all the latest and greatest features, but it will do what a gaming headset is designed to do. It comes with a volume dial built into one of the earcups, it has a microphone on a swivel that users can flip up to mute, and it also sports a bungee headband that should make it more comfortable.

That being said, it should be pointed out that the Logitech G335 is a wired headset. For gamers who want Bluetooth, this isn’t it. It comes with a 3.5mm cable attached and while some might see the use of a cable a hindrance, it does mean that it will be compatible with devices that still have the 3.5mm port.

Logitech will also be including a PC splitter to help accommodate computers that might have separate microphone and audio inputs. While we can’t speak to the quality of the audio of the Logitech G335, at $70, it seems like a pretty good deal.
