A couple of years ago, Google announced that they would be launching a VPN service for its Google One subscribers. However, the service was only available for Android users, meaning that iPhone and iPad users weren’t able to benefit from the feature, at least until now.

Google has announced that its Google One VPN service will now be available for users on the iPhone and iPad, but there is something that users should note. For those who wish to take advantage of the VPN, you will need to be subscribed to the company’s 2TB plan or higher.

This means that those who are using the Google One Basic or Standard plan, you’re out of luck. The Premium 2TB plan will be priced at $9.99 a month, or $99.99 if you opt to pay annually. This is versus the Basic plan which is priced at $1.99 a month, or the Standard plan which costs $2.99 a month.

That being said, the Premium plan is actually kind of worth it considering how much storage you’re getting plus the extra perks of having a VPN service. However, we imagine that there are some users who might not be comfortable with a company like Google handling their VPN and might opt for another company’s services, so it’s up to you to decide.
