Remember back in the day when Apple’s iPads would top out at around 9-inches in size? Then Apple introduced the iPad Pro with its 12.9-inch display, which felt massive at the time given that Apple also had 13-inch laptops , but many got used to the larger display and appreciated it. However, does it get to the point where it becomes too big?

According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, his latest Power On newsletter has revealed that Apple could actually be working on a 15-inch iPad. What’s interesting is that apparently this larger iPad is meant to help Apple compete against companies like Amazon who have created smart displays.

Gurman claims that this larger tablet could come with features like more powerful speakers, which potentially could be used to help fill a room with sound, and that the cameras could have a landscape-first orientation, and a rear-facing power plug, and also support for a wall mount that you could potentially use as an intercom of sorts if you have a smart doorbell connected to it.

That being said, we probably shouldn’t expect to see this new iPad anytime soon as Gurman thinks that it might not be launching for the next couple of years. In any case, it will be interesting to see such a device, although we’d hate to think how much it could cost.
