Last week, it was rumored that Apple could be working on a 20-inch foldable MacBook laptop. For those who are hearing about it for the first time, basically this is an all-display laptop that would utilize a foldable display so that when folded, it can be carried around, but unfolded it would sport a huge display.

If you’re wondering what that laptop could look like, Antonio De Rosa of ADR Studio has put together a concept render of what this foldable MacBook could look like, calling it the MacBook Folio.

De Rosa’s interpretation of the laptop is actually quite interesting. Basically it looks like a normal MacBook on the outside, but inside, the main display extends right up to the keyboard portion of the laptop while maintaining the physical trackpad. Apple has stated before that they aren’t interested in making touchscreen Macs, but this could be one potential way of making it less awkward.

That being said, we do remain skeptical of Apple’s alleged plans. This is because onscreen keyboards aren’t necessarily the best to use for extended periods of time, plus having that tactile feedback while you type is a good thing. Perhaps Apple’s implementation could be different from what De Rosa has imagined, but seeing as this rumored laptop won’t be debuting in the next few years, it’s not something we’ll have to think too much about for the time-being.
