West Midlands Police have told the Birmingham Mail that they have received a positive response to their public call for help in identifying English Defence League (EDL) thugs who rioted in Dudley.
Last month the police released CCTV images of hooligans wanted in connection with the EDL riot that took place in Dudley on 17 June 2010. During the riot a Hindu temple, cars and people’s homes were attacked.
Det Insp Carl Southwick told reporters:
“We have had some positive responses and are now pursuing those lines of inquiry.
“We are appealing to people to look closely at these images. If you recognise any of these individuals or believe you have information that may help, I urge you to come forward.
“A total of 20 offences were reported with people having windows smashed and cars damaged.”
